For as long as road-side billboards have existed discussions around their safety have been inconclusive and led to barely any restrictions of their use. They are designed to distract the driver to view the ad, often even with moving lights or animations. Many studies have shown an increased crash rate around billboards but are underreported due to corruption from the Outdoor Advertising Association of America.

I found several fatal car crashes, their killer billboards and the exact location on Google Earth to remake and repurpose these billboards and state my opinion on the topic.
